The one debate that has been going on for years and does not seem to abet is whether leaders are born or made. The process requires you to look inside you and look at flaws in your character from an outsider point of view. You will need to look for patterns in your behavior to be able to identify these flaws. Make sure that you go back in time and make amends for some wrongs that you have done. Apologizing for some mistakes, for instance, can help you build character. If you have a desire to bring out the leader in you, you will also need to remember that leadership requires a lot of sacrifice. It involves leading by example at all times and therefore it means that you cannot lose sight of your goal in order to ensure that everyone else also remains focused.
Leadership is not about keeping the tricks of the tradeeep inside you as a secret. Empowering others to become leaders of tomorrow is another aspect of a true leader. A true and genuine leader is not afraid to share his knowledge with others. In fact it is incumbent upon a leader to create others that can follow in his footsteps and continue to lead people once he is no longer in the race. And therefore training is a key aspect of leadership that you need to learn along the way. Keep the above points in mind and then look inside you to motivate yourself to get out there and motivate other people. Last but not the least there is the element of faith. Only when you have the faith in yourself and what you are doing, will you be able to lead others.
